
Deaf flag football tournament in Chicago full of surprises

Wheeling, IL – The weather was perfect – not too chilly, but not too hot. The sun was cooperative, and the wind wasn’t too strong. Twelve teams, with a total of 214 players, came to participate in the U.S. Deaf Flag Football Super Bowl XV, hosted by the Chicago Club of the Deaf with Terry Hall as chairperson.
Showdown in Madison, WI
USFFD hosted a small 4x4 tournament in the summer of 2003 in Silver Spring, MD to try and promote the 4x4 game. Tournament winners were Tippy (women) and Aerial Attack (men). Later in the year, Aerial Attack hosted their own tournament, Aerial Attack Showdown which featured 8 teams fighting for the right to call themselves the Aerial Attack Showdown Champion. Aerial Attack won the tournament and headed to Wisconsin the heavy favorites for the 18th USFFD National Championships.
Super Bowl XXVII News
The Super Bowl XXVII will be hosted in Orlando, Florida on November 16-17 weekend. Austin-Tidall Sports Complex is where the tournmanet will be held at. Good luck everyone!
